More Information...

Longhoughton Steel is a lovely remote beach made up of sand, shingle and rocks. At low tide it is wide and predominantly sandy, but much of the sand is covered as the tide comes in. The beach is an excellent spot to explore rock pools, fish, or take a peaceful walk in a picturesque setting. It is also known for providing first-rate fishing opportunities. Due to its remote location, there are no facilities at the beach. Parking is possible at the small village of Boulmer, along the coast, about half a mile south of the beach. There is a walking track that leads northwards to the beach from here, as part of a longer coastal path, offering excellent views of the wild coastline. Facilities such as pubs, shops and places to stay can be found in nearby Boulmer.
