More Information...

This small nature reserve contains a surprisingly diverse range of habitat and flora for such a small area. Numerous interesting plants occur including lesser celandine, primrose, fragrant orchid, southern marsh orchid, marsh helleborine and twayblade. Volunteers from the Norfolk Conservation Corps have been helping at Lolly Moor since 1979. Cowslips appeared almost immediately after they began to mow the site – six at first in 1980, 15 in 1981, and 42 in 1982 – until today these attractive pale yellow flowers number in their thousands, an excellent indicator of the reserve’s overall health.
