La Haule sits at the western end of St Aubin’s Bay and is also known as St Aubin’s Beach. It backs on to the once small fishing village of the same name. From here you can look across the bay to St Helier and Elisabeth Castle. The beach is a big expanse of soft sand which stretches from St Helier Harbour to St Aubin’s Harbour. La Haule beach faces south and as such you can enjoy the sun’s rays for most of the day. As it is also protected by the surrounding harbour, the waves here are usually fairly gentle making it a great spot for families. St Aubin has a long maritime tradition dating back to the 16th century when the main trade here was fishing. As a result, you will still find a range of merchants here that were built thanks to the wealth that trading in St Aubin provided.
