More Information...

Felixstowe is a traditional Edwardian seaside resort between the Orwell and Deben rivers in Suffolk. The town benefits from a 4-mile stretch of beach, which slopes gently into the sea, along which there is a 2-mile-long promenade. The sea here is generally safe for swimming, and along with easy access and plenty of facilities Felixstowe's North beach is ideal for families. The historic pier is undergoing significant redevelopment and is expected to re-open to the public in August 2017. The area north of the pier is known as North Beach and is mostly made up of pebble and shingle, being less sandy than the South Beach on the other side of the pier. There are plenty of footpaths and cycle tracks in the area.
