This location is classed as Seaside
The small town of Fairlie lies on the east shore of the Firth of Clyde. The long strip of beach is mainly sandy with some areas of rock and shingle. From the beach there are views towards Great Cumbrae Island and down towards the Isle of Arran. There are moorings here for yachts and a slipway. The pier at the south end of the beach is not open to the public. Some facilities can be found in the town including a pub, a petrol station and a small gift shop.
