More Information...

This beautiful, sandy beach lies on the north coast of Alderney. At low tide it links up with nearby Arch Bay, whilst at high tide the link between these two beaches is cut off by rocks. When the tide goes out there are plenty of rockpools to explore. Behind the beach, Victorian-era Fort Corblets and the Alderney lighthouse make a picturesque backdrop to the turquoise waters and pale silver sand of the beach. The beach itself is quite sheltered from the winds, although the bay does get some strong waves. Most locals would agree that the bay has some of the best surf on the island and the beach is popular with swimmers, surfers and body boarders. Care should be taken when there is a swell running though. There is plenty of parking near the beach.
