Cockshoot Broad is a secluded, tranquil broad, renowned for its water lily beds - a testament to the good water quality here. There are many damselflies which can be seen resting on the water lilies including variable and red-eyed damselfly. It is part of the Bure Marshes National Nature Reserve.Change of Access Please note that the NWT boardwalk at Cockshoot Dyke is open but the section of boardwalk from the Ferry Road car park leading to Cockshoot Dyke has been closed by the owners, the Woodbastwick Estate. Therefore access to NWT Cockshoot Dyke boardwalk is by boat only, using the Broads Authority 24hr moorings adjacent.
