This location is classed as Seaside
This lovely little sandy beach is set in a sheltered inlet and is largely undeveloped. Nevertheless it is a popular spot, drawing in plenty of locals and visitors alike during the summer months. Backed by gently sloping dunes and with gently sloping sand Cable Bay is an ideal family beach. There are a few rockpools to explore at either end too. Of interest to those with archaeological tendencies is Barclodiad y Gawres burial chamber on the northern headland. Dating back to the Stone Age this large underground chamber is most impressive. There is plenty of parking (free?) right behind the beach.
