This fairly remote, west-facing beach forms part of the vast expanse of sand and mudflats between Brean and Burnham on Sea. This section is found midway between Brean and Berrow South. The area of sand between Brean and Unity Farm is popular with dog walkers and is also used by watersport enthusiasts. The beach is also popular with anglers and fishing is permitted an hour and a half either side of high tide. At low tide the wide expanse of wet mudflats revealed, have sections of dangerous sinking sands. Visitors are advised to observe the safety notices. From the beach it is approximately one mile north to the village of Brean, where there is plenty of parking. The craggy promontory of Brean Down, north of the beach, is home to some interesting plant and wildlife and is an excellent place to scramble up the paths, with the reward of spectacular sea views. A bracing walk south, along the sand, towards the lighthouse at Burnham-on-Sea is guaranteed to shake away the cobwebs at any time of year. The beach offers fine views over the Bristol Channel.
