Bendricks Beach is one of the lesser-known beaches close to Barry resort in South Wales. At high tide it is not much more than a rocky outcrop, but when the tide is out a small section of sand and shingle is exposed. The beach’s main claim to fame lies in the fossilised dinosaur footprints to be found in the rocks here. There are no signs indicating where the prints can be found. Some of the better prints found here have been excavated and can be seen in Cardiff Museum. There is no designated beach parking but access can be gained by parking by the recycling plant and climbing over the rocks. Care should be taken as the rocks can be very slippery.
