This beach is located on the south side of the Lleyn Peninsula, approximately mid-way between Criccieth Castle and Pwllheli. The beach here is a mix of sand and shingle, and the quiet, rural beach curves around a bay and slopes gently into the water. The Afon Wen (River Wen) and the Afon Dwyfor both enter the sea in the bay. There are a number of holiday parks and caravan sites in the area. The beach is a popular spot for fishing, and is a good place to take bracing, coastal walks at any time of year. To access the beach, take the A497 from Pwllheli, in a north-easterly direction. About one mile after the Butlins Park, a small track leads to a railway bridge. There is a limited amount of parking here, from which a track leads under the bridge towards the beach.
